Job summary

SCA Health — Nebraska Spine Hospital is hiring a Night Shift inpatient Registered Nurse (RN). There is a $15,000 sign-on bonus, a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3, three 12-hour shifts per week, weekend coverage every third weekend, and two holidays per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of acute care and/or medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment or current BLS/BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification.
• PALS course required if pediatric care is included within 90 days of employment or current PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s status across cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and other systems per policy.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors accurately.
• Describe pathophysiology of common diseases and physiology of anesthesia techniques.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan of care for each patient.
• Administer medications safely using the 8 rights of safe medication administration.
• Provide nursing care and monitoring in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Delegate tasks per state regulations and report safety concerns.
• Document care accurately and ensure effective hand-off to team members.
