Job summary

St Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Inpatient Rehab Unit. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and develop individualized patient care plans for patients in the rehab program, with up to 28 days in the unit and about 4 hours daily of therapy.

The role requires an active Georgia RN license, graduation from an approved nursing program, and may prefer prior experience.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found substantially equivalent.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan under limited supervision.
• Interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to the RN's expertise.
• Functioning as part of the Care Team and Support Team to achieve patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Assuming responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Providing care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, environment/technology, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.
