Job summary

St Mary’s Health Care System in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Rehab Unit. This full-time role supports an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care and to facilitate the patient visit experience.

The RN will assess patients, develop and modify care plans, and work within the care pathway. The position requires Georgia RN licensure and a recent refresher if needed, with a focus on teamwork and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehab is comprised of private and semi-private rooms. Patients on this unit are here for up to 28 days and spend up to 4 hours each day with physical/occupational therapy.
• Under limited supervision, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan. The RN interprets and performs complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
• RNs are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the care given to a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• The RN provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and other healthcare team members, according to established standards.

Education

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
