Job summary

Harlan County Health System in Alma, Nebraska is hiring a full-time RN for night shift in inpatient and emergency departments. Three 12-hour shifts weekly, nights 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., rotating weekends and holidays. Eligible for comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate holds Nebraska RN license, BLS/ACLS preferred, strong communication and critical-thinking skills, and ability to work independently in a rural setting. Prior inpatient or emergency nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nebraska RN license required or eligible
• BLS, ACLS or similar certifications preferred
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and with a rural healthcare team
• Inpatient or emergency nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care
• Provide safe nursing care in inpatient and ED settings
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor and document patients’ conditions and responses to care
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and healthcare team
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control standards
