Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 to join the Clinical Staffing Office. This full-time position requires a 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a salary range of $40.05–$61.28 per hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The RN2 will contribute to patient care, education and team collaboration onsite. Responsibilities include data-driven quality initiatives, interdisciplinary collaboration and compassionate patient/family care while maintaining Illinois

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois RN licensure.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher.
• Transfers from other Rush entities must have a baccalaureate degree or higher.
• Analytical ability.
• Communication skills are required to lead and teach.
• Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
• Ability to check documents for errors, enter data accurately.

• Participates in data collection to support unit-based quality initiatives, research and evidence-based activities.
• Utilizes system-wide resources to support decision making and action.
• Recognizes patterns of problems in a patient population and initiates actions to address.
