Job summary

Christian Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an RN House Supervisor to lead hospital-wide nursing operations, staffing, and patient flow. You will act as the on-site resource for nursing teams, physicians, patients, and families, ensuring safe and efficient care across shifts.

Ideal candidates bring BSN, RN licensure, 5+ years of acute care experience, and 2+ years of leadership. The role includes night shifts, holiday rotation, and opportunities for career growth within nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required
• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 5 years of acute care RN experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead hospital-wide nursing operations and oversee staffing, patient placement, admissions, transfers, throughput, and bed management
• Serve as the leadership resource during patient escalations, rapid responses, codes, falls, and safety events
• Partner with nursing leaders, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support daily operations
• Address patient and family concerns and provide service recovery support
• Coach, mentor, and support staff through real-time challenges
• Oversee 3 x 12-hour night shifts and holiday rotation
• Support advancement into operational, administrative and nursing leadership roles
