Job summary

VCU Health's Hospital at Home Command Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a PRN night Clinical Nurse to deliver and document age-specific care per medical orders and a multidisciplinary plan. The role develops leadership skills at the unit level while supporting the health care team. Requires Virginia RN licensure or eligibility (compact state).

Clin I–III experience levels are noted; BSN preferred. Expect shift rotation, weekends and holidays, safe medication administration, and adherence to ANA

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree will need to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years and complete within five years.
• Clin I, Clin II, Clin III licensure/certification requirements as described.
• Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III requires 3 years of clinical experience.
• Diploma or Associate degree from a professional nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care per medical orders and multidisciplinary plan.
• Safely administers prescribed medications and identifies incompatibilities/interactions.
• Provides direction, education, and leadership at the unit level; supervises others as applicable.
• Works with the health care team to prevent illness, maintain wellness, and provide comfort.
