Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join the Medical Unit for a Five Nights opening. You will provide direct patient care, develop individualized care plans, assess patient needs, and respond rapidly to changes in condition.

Our team emphasizes compassionate, family-like support and collaborative practice across disciplines. The role requires Alaska RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, an associate degree (BSN preferred), and chemotherapy

Qualifications

• Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certification.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. BSN preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Collaborate with patient/family to develop and implement care plans considering developmental, cultural, and age differences.
• Communicate with physicians about patient condition and test results.
• Perform nursing duties across the care continuum.
• Participate in department process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain composure and professionalism, even under pressure.
