Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse for the Medical Unit on a five-night shift. You will deliver direct patient care, assess and plan individualized care, and collaborate with a compassionate team dedicated to patient-centered outcomes.

The role requires Alaska RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and an ADN (BSN preferred). You’ll join a hospital recognized for quality care and a supportive benefits program to sustain your career and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Current Alaska RN license is required.
• BLS/ACLS certification (American Red Cross or AHA) is required.
• Chemotherapy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Develop and implement patient care plans considering development, culture and age differences.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient’s clinical condition and diagnostic results.
• Perform nursing duties across the continuum of care for all patients.
• Participate in department process improvement activities.
• Maintain composure and professionalism, especially under pressure.
