Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking an experienced RN for the Orthopedics Unit to deliver direct patient care on a nights shift. You will develop individualized care plans through assessment and planning, and collaborate with the care team to respond to changes in patient condition.

You will communicate with physicians about diagnoses and test results, perform nursing duties across the orthopedics continuum, and participate in process improvements.

Qualifications

• Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association BLS/BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Ortho/Neuro experience preferred.
• Certified Ortho/Neuro Nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient condition and results.
• Perform nursing duties in the orthopedics continuum of care.
• Participate in department process improvement.
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
