Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit/Jackson area is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health: High Acuity Unit. The role supports compassionate, high-quality patient care during 3–12 hour night shifts (7pm–7:30am) with weekend and holiday requirements.

Responsibilities include leading care delivery, applying the nursing process, and educating patients and families. Requires Michigan nursing licensure and ADN/BSN pathway as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and their families.
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
• Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
