Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Cahokia, IL is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

Strong clinical skills and a commitment to Mercy Service Standards are essential. Education includes ADN/ Diploma/ BSN with an active RN license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice (or eligible compact RN license).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Depending on the department or specialty area, additional certifications may be required upon hire or within a designated timeframe, including: ACLS, NRP, PALS, PEARS, ENPC, TNCC, OCN, CPHON, STABLE, C-EFM.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
