Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking a night shift, full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will coordinate safe patient care, assess needs, and revise plans while collaborating with the Nurse Director/Manager to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree in nursing, Kansas RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS and oncology certification may be required based on unit. First-year certification completion is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• Current Kansas RN Licensure is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• ACLS is required for Tele, ICU and PCU.
• Oncology certification required post-surgery.
• All certifications must be completed within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe patient care delivery for diverse patient populations.
• Assess patient/family needs and develop and prioritize goals; revise care plans as needed.
• Delegate care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
