Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to join the General Surgery team. You will deliver direct nursing care to adults with complex GI and vascular needs and support a seamless patient transition from hospital to home.

This role requires TN RN licensure, BLS, and a Diploma from an accredited nursing program, with preferred 6+ months acute care experience. You’ll collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safety and quality, while

Qualifications

• BLS within 1 month (30 days) of hire date/transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date/transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, direct nursing care for adult patients with complex GI and Vascular needs, ensuring safety standards.
• Monitor and communicate real-time patient conditions to the care team for swift clinical decisions.
• Execute physician and nursing orders with precision to support recovery milestones.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge through comprehensive planning and education.
