Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Staff RN for the C5A Gen Med & BH Unit on nights (7 pm–7 am). The unit is a 21-bed integrated medical/mental health unit at Main Campus, Columbus, OH.

The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care during a 36-hour week with six weekend shifts in a six-week period. Requirements include a BSN or Associate degree with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, an Ohio RN license, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• BSN or ASN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current CPR certification required; may need additional certifications (NRP, PALS, ACLS) as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a family-centered approach.
• Assesses patient needs and communicates priorities to licensed staff and care team.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using evidence-based practices.
• Documents per organizational standards and participates in quality improvement activities.
