Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Inpatient Float Pool seeks a Night shift RN to apply the nursing process across Med/Surg, Stepdown, Palliative Care, Oncology and other service lines.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, educate patients and families, and continuously evaluate progress toward goals while expanding professional growth through ongoing learning and standards.

Qualifications

• Applies nursing process to plan and implement care.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
• Engages in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient’s progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
