Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio seeks a registered nurse for night shift (7p-7a) to support patient mobility and safety throughout the care episode.

The role emphasizes family-centered care, evidence-based practice, and collaboration with LPNs, PCAs, and other staff. Active Ohio RN license and CPR certification required; will pursue additional certifications as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Ohio RN license is required.
• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other cert as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care needs to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators and allied health staff.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Engages in the workplace community, participates in data collection/auditing, supports Quality Improvement, and relays updates to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards and procedures.

Education

BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years

Ohio RN Licensure

Current CPR certification

Willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other cert as determined
