Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) role involves partnering with clinicians to monitor patients, administer medications, educate families, and maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years of ED or acute care experience, a BSN preferred, and current BLS; ACLS and PALS are required or completed within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of ED or acute care experience.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required prior to ED orientation.
• PALS to be completed within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
