Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Shreveport, LA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Emergency Services on the Kings Hwy Night Shift. This are part-time, 12-week assignment with potential for extension based on unit needs and performance.

The RN will deliver direct patient care using the Nursing Process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support education and safety initiatives while upholding regulatory standards and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana is required.
• Education: RN Diploma; preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; CPI preferred within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Use the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate and direct licensed and ancillary staff as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and team members.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy in a fast-paced ED setting.
