Job summary

Baltimore Detox Center is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time night position in Baltimore, MD. The RN will work under the Director of Nursing and Charge Nurses to ensure safe patient care and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning, ASAM criteria, and coordination with physicians, ARNPs, and the Clinical Treatment Team. Strong nursing experience in detox settings is required.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing.
• 1+ years RN experience in detox or similar.
• State RN license in good standing.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Detox and Psychiatric Nursing experience required.
• Able to administer medications (oral/subcutaneous/IM).
• Familiarity with ASAM criteria preferred.
• Familiarity with JCAHO Behavioral Health standards.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications per medical orders.
• Perform nursing assessments, discharge planning, and clinical reporting.
• Coordinate with physicians, ARNPs and nursing leadership.
• Maintain accurate medication logs and secure storage.
• Respond quickly to emergencies with sound judgment.
