Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Ellsworth Correctional Facility in Ellsworth, Kansas. The RN will provide patient care within the scope of practice, supervise staff as needed, and ensure safety and quality in a correctional setting.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, an active Kansas RN license, and CPR certification. Night shifts run 5PM–5:30AM, with a comprehensive benefits package and incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or have graduated from an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current RN license in the state of Kansas.
• Must maintain knowledge of state laws and practice regulations and complete annual competencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Direct or supervise nursing staff or a unit as assigned.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments and educate on health topics.
• Ensure stock of supplies and manage inventory.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests as needed.
