Job summary

Advanced Correctional Healthcare is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to deliver on-site medical and behavioral health services in a correctional setting. The role involves timely nursing assessment, medication administration, and coordination with practitioners to ensure high-quality care.

The RN will perform vital signs checks, maintain documentation, and educate patients while upholding HIPAA and aseptic standards in a secure facility.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in the state where services are provided.
• BLS certification; hands-on training.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Knowledge of the RN scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Check vital signs, glucose checks, and other measurements on-site.
• Triage intake screenings for necessity and priority at sick call.
• Document data for CQI and outcome studies.
• Maintain infection control precautions and aseptic techniques.
• Provide patient education on facility policies and discharge planning.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with other medical staff for diagnosis and treatment.
