Job summary
Healthcare Staffing Professionals is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a correctional facility in Chesapeake, VA. The RN will perform general nursing duties, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for inmates while adhering to clinical standards.
The role offers night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a pay rate of $47 per hour. Weekend shifts receive an additional $2 per hour.
Qualifications
- BLS certification required.
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- 2–3 professional references.
Responsibilities
- Provide general nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Assess health needs and develop individualized care plans for inmates.
- Perform health screenings and respond to emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
