Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York.
• Clinical decision-making ability required and critical to have.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing practice complies with established standards.
• Assess and provide comprehensive treatment care while observing security requirements.
• Monitor treatments to avoid duplication of services and advise supervisors as needed.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly health care staff meetings as assigned.
• Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and provide health counseling to patients.
• Conduct sick calls and provisional diagnoses for inmates following approved protocols.
