Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Mother/Baby unit on the Monmouth Medical Center campus in Long Branch, NJ. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient outcomes.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS/NRP certification, and at least one year in Mother Baby care. Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a 7p-7:30a night shift and strong EMR (EPIC) experience

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
BLS & NRP certification required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
At least one year of Mother Baby experience and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
Administer safe medications and provide hands-on care.
Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
Educate patients and families to ensure understanding of next care steps.
Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and team communication.
Engage in continuous learning and clinical advancement opportunities.
