Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; Basic Life Support required.
• RN I <1 year; RN II = 1-3 years; RN III = 3-10 years; RN IV = 10+ years; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates nursing care planning with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards.
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops discharge/transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement for client-centered outcomes.
• Ensures compassionate, personalized experiences and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
• May serve as preceptor or mentor to less experienced staff.
