Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) 2 at Concord Hospital is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of population-specific patients within the department/unit, from simple to complex cases, in a safe and therapeutic environment.

The RN uses knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, assesses data reflective of patient status, and collaborates with patients, families, and the care team while adhering to standards and policies.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in New Hampshire; BLS certification required per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for a population-specific patient group.
• Collaborates with patients, families and the care team; uses multi-system assessment.
• Documents care and patient progress; maintains standards and protocols.
• Directs and supervises others in delegated nursing activities.
• Teaches patients and families about the plan of care; prepares for discharge, transfer, or procedures.
• Manages time and resources to deliver patient care; administers medications.
• Leads the health care team and serves as a resource on shift.
