Qualifications

• RN licensure in NH required.
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess symptoms, plan interventions, implement treatment, evaluate responses, and revise plans.
• Provides age-appropriate care to the population served.
• Adheres to established standards and procedures in medication administration and inpatient care.
• Documents care using hospital standards and nursing notes.
• Educates patients and families based on assessed learning needs.
• Participates in interdisciplinary discharge planning.
• Ensures a safe patient environment and reduces hazards.
• Assists in orientation of new staff to the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Participates in required hospital and unit competencies.
• Attends staff meetings as required by Clinical Manager.
