Job summary

Grandview Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Clinical Decision Unit, nights 7pm-7am, part-time. You will provide patient-centered care, coordinate with physicians and the care team, and follow established protocols in a fast-paced ED Hold setting.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings.
• Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care.
• RN licensure (state, compact) and Basic Life Support; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies, perform CPR and participate in code teams.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and monitor medical equipment as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies, audits, and standards.
• Maintain regular attendance and engage in ongoing professional development.
