Job summary

The Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Clinical Charge Nurse to direct and oversee unit activities on night shift, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. This leadership role blends clinical expertise with staff coordination and applies evidence-based practices within the WellStar governance framework.

You will collaborate with nurses, physicians, and managers, manage staffing, and participate in rounds, performance improvement, and policy development to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing per Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
• Practice using evidence based practice and WellStar Nursing Practice Model.
• Uphold Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards; promote safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment inventory and ensure tools are available.
• Plan staffing during shortages or surges to ensure safe patient care.
• Lead and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and document effectively.
• Perform nursing process using evidence-based care and coordinate care with care managers.
• Round on patients daily to assess care quality and safety; support staff development.
