Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Duval in Austin, TX is seeking an RN Charge Nurse for 10pm-6am shifts. This full-time role focuses on ensuring quality resident care and adherence to care plans, with duties including medication administration and physician coordination.

Qualifications

• RN program completion at an accredited school
• Active Texas RN license in good standing
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, document and report resident condition changes during rounds
• Ensure care plans are implemented as directed
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Record physician visits and rounds in clinical records
• Perform narcotic reconciliation across shifts
• Identify significant changes in resident condition and act per policy
• Oversee and monitor nursing aides
• Initiate and complete incident/accident reports
• Discharge residents per policy
• Complete Nursing Assessments prior to physician calls
• Communicate status updates to resident's contact person
• Support additional projects as directed by the Director of Nurses/Administrator
