Lake Granbury Medical Center is seeking an RN Charge to oversee a nursing unit during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

The RN Charge will supervise nursing staff, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license is required and should be active.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports nursing and support staff, delegating tasks to appropriate personnel.
• Evaluates staff performance, providing feedback and coaching.
• Oversees assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensures effective communication among physicians, patients, families, and departments.
• Monitors patient flow, bed assignments, and resource utilization.
• Performs rounding to evaluate care delivery and satisfaction.
• Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Manages supplies and cost-effective resource use.
• Facilitates ongoing education and professional development for staff.
• Leads infection prevention efforts and PPE use.
• Responds to emergencies within the unit and provides leadership.
