Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a registered nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. The role covers night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am with a scheduled bi-weekly total of 72 hours.

You will deliver nursing care within unit scope, follow hospital policies and nursing process guidelines, and collaborate with the care team to ensure quality outcomes. The position requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS; experience in a specialty area is considered for competency maintenance.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license; BLS certification.
• ACLS certification as Healthcare Provider in Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Experience in specialty area will be considered to maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Assess each assigned patient, document and evaluate response to plan of care.
• Plan and implement patient’s plan of care and provide patient teaching.
• Oversee all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
• Seek to improve quality by developing unit competencies within scope of practice.
• Integrate into practice the latest best-practice benchmarking and clinical pathways; participate in studies and dissemination of research.
