Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgery ICU on a night shift with weekend requirements. Relocation assistance is available for qualifying candidates.

You will assess and plan patient care, document in EPIC, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to develop age-appropriate interdisciplinary plans and deliver evidence-based treatment. Must be able to adapt to rapid clinical changes and contribute to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
• Virginia RN licensure or eligible to obtain VA licensure.
• BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS as unit requires.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to optimize outcomes.
• Complete age-specific assessments and develop a care plan.
• Collaborate with the health care team to implement interdisciplinary plans.
• Document treatments and medications in EPIC and other systems.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and discharge planning.
