Job summary

ECU Health in Greenville, NC seeks a Registered Nurse for Behavioral Health on a full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with 3-12 hour shifts and weekend rotation. Competitive rates and night-differential up to $10/hour offered.

Hospital delivers inpatient and intensive outpatient services in a 144-bed facility. RN will provide and coordinate care, educate patients and families, document care, and adhere to nursing practice standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by state employment.
• One year of nursing experience; psychiatric/behavioral experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Follow nursing practice act regulations, facility and corporate policies.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed correctly.
• Assess patient status continuously and document pertinent information.
• Notify physicians of significant changes in patient status.
• Complete admission and discharge processing accurately.
• Maintain therapeutic rapport and professional boundaries with patients.
