Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health I/P: Psychiatric Acute 3 West team. The role covers a 36-hour work week with a night shift 7p-7a and alternating weekends and holiday rotations.

The RN will employ the nursing process, coordinate care with the interprofessional team, and ensure patient safety while delivering evidence-based practices. BLS and an active RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
