Job summary

Mercy Hospital in Ada, OK is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift in the behavioral health unit. You will use the nursing process to provide patient care, under supervision of licensed clinicians, and coordinate with physicians, social workers and therapists.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care for psychiatric patients, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, ensuring safety with de-escalation and crisis interventions, and

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification (AHA) or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Promote safety with de-escalation, crisis intervention, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and other professionals.
• Oversee nursing staff and coordinate unit operations.
