Job summary

Jenkins County Medical Center in Millen, GA seeks a Full Time RN to join the night Behavioral Health team on a rotating 7 PM–7 AM shift. This role provides care to acutely ill adult and geriatric patients and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The RN will plan, supervise, and deliver nursing care, collaborate with the team, educate patients and families, and ensure compliance with policies. Requires GA RN license and BLS; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in GA
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification preferred (or within 3 months)
• PALS certification preferred (within 6 months)
• Minimum one year RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Psychiatric or geriatric nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the healthcare team
• Ensure continual delivery of high quality nursing care
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including medications and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes
• Support and guide nursing staff while maintaining a collaborative team environment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment needs
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families
• Manage emergency situations while maintaining a calm, controlled environment
• Work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds

Education

RN license GA

BLS certification
