Prairie View in Newton, KS is hiring Registered Nurses for our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and Behavioral Urgent Care (BUC) teams. Night shift 7pm-7am, full-time and part-time roles with $34–$40/hour plus shift differentials in a structured behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited nursing program; RN license in Kansas required
• BSN degree preferred but not required
• Two years in psychiatric nursing preferred
• CPR certification required
• CPI training and English proficiency required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate therapeutically with patients and staff

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Administer and monitor medications with patient education on use/side effects
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Respond to urgent or crisis situations within the residential setting
• Communicate with prescribers regarding orders and refills
• Collaborate with treatment teams, patients, and families
• Support admissions, transfers, and continuity of care
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
• Uphold patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards
