Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas seeks a competent Nurse to provide independent clinical care in a setting comparable to prior roles. The incumbent will deliver routine and complex care, develop long-range goals, and delegate tasks to teammates to manage clinical situations, while maintaining focus on patient outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN preferred, 1 year of nursing experience, BLS, and an RN license in the state of employment or a compact. Shift is 7PM–7AM; position is full time.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers.
• Delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
