Job summary

Hopedale Medical Complex is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospital team on the night shift. The RN provides planned, skilled nursing care across medical-surgical and higher-acuity patients, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to assess needs and implement individualized care.

Our facility is a rural Critical Access Hospital with a 25-bed hospital, ICU, and a 5-bed ED. The night shift runs 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current and unrestricted Illinois RN license required.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies and high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• ER and/or ICU experience preferred, but not required.
• Night shift 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and changes in status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Carry out physician orders and nursing interventions accurately and timely.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate significant changes to the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Assist with positioning, mobility, transfers, and transportation.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families for admissions, transfers, and ongoing care.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in condition.
