Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Night 12 Hour shift in Pleasanton, CA. The RN will provide direct patient care, follow evidence-based practices, and coordinate with the care team to meet patient needs and ensure safety.

The role requires CA RN licensure, 1–2 years of acute care experience, and BLS certification. Emphasis on patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to C-I-CARE standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 1+ to 2 years prior acute care RN experience required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Nursing licensure in CA or Compact State license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients by collecting and documenting data through interviews, history taking, and physical assessments.
• Obtain accurate assessment data and interpret normal vs abnormal findings.
• Determine nursing diagnoses and plan care.
• Monitor and evaluate patient data to adjust care for stability.
• Safely implement and document care plans per unit standards.
• Evaluate intervention outcomes and monitor for adverse responses.
• Educate patients and families for self-care and prevention.
• Coordinate care with other providers and departments.
• Participate in department meetings and hospital committees as assigned.
