Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Staff RN to join a hospital-based team. This 0.9 FTE role offers Nights shifts and 12-hour schedules, utilizing your nursing training within a multidisciplinary care model to support patient outcomes and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, possess an active WA RN license, and current BLS. ACLS/PALS or TNCC certification is required or preferred by the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or within five years; RN with 15+ years considered in lieu of education agreement.
• Advanced Nursing degree preferred (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP).
• Washington RN license or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL).
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS or PALS or NALS or TNCC or NRP certification as required by the facility.
• Specialty area certification preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering and evaluating on an ongoing basis.
• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience and cost reduction.
• Foster a learning environment for patients/families and nursing staff.
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care respecting diverse backgrounds.
