Job summary

Management & Training Corporation's Otero County Processing Medical Center in Chaparral, NM is hiring for a full-time registered nurse. You will work 12-hour night shifts, handling sick calls, medication administration, and patient care in a detainee setting, ensuring accurate documentation and strict HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• NM nursing license required and valid CPR certification.
• Degree in nursing; valid driver’s license in NM or TX with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Attend sick calls with physicians to examine detainees and prepare exam rooms.
• Call the physician for medication orders and emergencies.
• Administer medication and document treatment accurately.
• Examine detainees and refer to emergency care when needed.
• Maintain clean work area and proper sanitation methods.
• Maintain confidentiality of medical records per HIPAA.
• Inspect and store medications and supplies securely; dispose properly.
• Prepare safety and incident reports as required.
