Desert Care Network is hiring a Registered Nurse for night shifts in Joshua Tree, CA. Shift is Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required. Job Type: Full Time. Hours: 12 per shift. A sign-on bonus up to $25,000 is available based on experience.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient assessment, proactive interventions, and collaborative care with patients, families, and the health care team. Safety, documentation, and adherence to policies are essential to all duties.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or diploma from accredited nursing program may be substituted for an AA degree.
• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• PALS Certification within 1 year of hire.
• MICN certification - Required within 1 year of hire.
• TNCC certification - Required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive assessment and history on patients’ admission.
• Initiates effective interventions based on assessed problems.
• Collaborates with patient, family and other team members in care planning.
• Documents all assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
• Identifies and responds to predictable problems; takes timely action.
• Participates in Performance Improvement program and adheres to department goals.
• Cleans and prepares treatment areas; ensures equipment is in working order.
• Follows department policies and job descriptions in care delivery.
• Attends staff meetings and stays updated with communications.
• Delivers any required in-services and participates in departmental projects.
• Maintains professional accountability and uses critical thinking in practice.
• Promotes teamwork and communicates effectively with the health care team.
• Keeps families informed and addresses complaints appropriately.

Education
