Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist at Aurora Medical Center Grafton in Wisconsin. The 0.9 FTE weekend program covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (18:00–06:30) with a sizable differential and a total of 36 hours per week.

The position requires an Associate degree in respiratory care, an RCP license, NBRC/CRT credentials, and BLS. Extensive patient care, education, and collaborative teamwork are key aspects of the role with strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care or higher.
• Current RCP license and NBRC credential within required timeframe.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to work nights and weekends per schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate respiratory therapy equipment and assess patient needs.
• Ventilate critical and non-critical patients and assist physicians.
• Provide medication therapies per orders.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Educate patients on therapy goals and self-care.
• Collaborate across departments to support patient care.
• Follow policies and ensure safety and proper handoffs.
• Train new teammates and students.
• Assess age-specific patient needs and care requirements.
