Job summary

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for a full‑time, night shift at a Long Term Acute Care facility. You will provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, nebulizer therapies, oxygen delivery, and chest physiotherapy for adult and geriatric patients.

Under supervision, you will document care, educate patients and families, and ensure safety and adherence to hospital policies. Licensure and BLS are required; ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Practitioner required to practice in the state of employment.
• BLS must be obtained upon hire and ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Must maintain licenses and certification for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Demonstrates and respects patient rights and dignity in all interactions.
• Explain procedures to patients and document education provided.
• Perform prescribed respiratory therapies including nebulizers, oxygen therapy, humidity, and chest physiotherapy.
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; participate in ventilator weaning as directed by physician.
• Record treatments and patient responses in charts and MARs as required.
• Perform tracheostomy care and manage tubing and suction devices per policy.
• Communicate treatment plans and changes to relief staff and primary nurse.

Education

BLS Certification upon hire

ACLS Certification within 90 days
