Job summary

Endeavor Health in Highland Park, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a part-time role at Highland Park Hospital. The position offers 20 hours per week with options for 8- or 12-hour shifts and every other weekend rotation, along with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will provide respiratory therapy across neonatal to geriatric patients, assess and document treatments, and educate patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC) is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible status is required.
• State licensure in Illinois within 6 months of employment is required.
• Current CPR certification (AHA) required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS must be obtained within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities; transcribe orders as needed.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, with focus on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.
