Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for per diem night shifts (7:00 pm–7:30 am). Three tier pay options offer $40.15, $42.00, or $43.80 per hour, with corresponding shift and holiday requirements.

This role works in a high-acuity, critical care environment within a large healthcare system and offers competitive pay and rapid interviews.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• Current RRT from NBRC or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Assess, plan, implement, and document care with attention to age and population needs.
• May be designated Lead RCP and oversee a section or department during the shift.
