Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed by the State of Florida as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow Respiratory Care protocols and report changes in care plans.
• Perform arterial puncture and ABG analysis with accurate reporting.
• Operate respiratory care equipment including ventilators and sleep apnea devices.
• Provide patient and family education on breathing techniques and pulmonary rehab.
• Safely transport intubated patients using approved devices.
• Perform bedside testing and document results promptly.
